Community remembers beloved car enthusiast killed in Choctaw explosion

CHOCTAW, Okla. ( KFOR ) — A Choctaw neighborhood was rocked by a deadly explosion late Monday afternoon.

Bo Woody was working on a car when all of a sudden a nitrous bottle and blowtorch exploded, killing Bo.

The tragedy has not only left the Woody family in shock, but also the local car community.

“If you had asked anybody in the car community, they would know his name,” said Darrin Brewer.

Brewer has been friends with Bo Woody for over two decades, he often had Bo tune cars for him.

“He had hundreds and thousands of people and reaches from different states from all over the world. He tuned cars from the laptop, from mobile, from phone calls. I mean, he tuned cars for me, for customers out of the state,” said Brewer.

He describes Bo as a master at increasing a vehicles performance and says he’s one of the best tuners in Oklahoma.

Another friend of Bo explained how he taught his daughter on how to tune her racing truck.
