Chet and Isaiah’s first impression as a duo has many excited about the season

After a long offseason, Oklahoma City Thunder basketball is finally back. The team started the season on a high note by winning its preseason opener Monday night against the San Antonio Spurs.

While the Thunder were without two starters, many key players were in the rotation and made a strong early impression. Considering Oklahoma City’s talent-rich roster and tremendous depth, even Game 1 of the preseason was highly anticipated by many in the NBA universe.

Despite the Blue and Orange featuring brand-new combinations of lineups in the win, the result was as encouraging as ever. With three more preseason games on the slate, the momentum will mount.

Thunder head coach gives his early impression

Mark Daigneault deserves a pat on the back for what he’s done for the team in recent years. But, putting that aside, there is no denying that this season will arguably be the most challenging for the 39-year-old.

With many moving parts, multiple rookies and summer acquisitions, and returning players looking to take another step up in their games, navigating everyone’s personal ambitions will be one of the biggest points of emphasis for Daigneault. Fortunately, Oklahoma City’s win on Monday night gave a strong first impression, with the team’s versatility on full display.
