OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – Christmas is fast approaching and Thursday morning, the Salvation Army of Central Oklahoma kicked off the Angel Tree program at Quail Springs Mall that provides gifts and clothing for children on Christmas.
News 4’s Dylan Brown was there to say a few words and to adopt the first angel from the Angel Tree. The idea is to purchase gifts listed on the angel and return them unwrapped. The Salvation Army will then distribute them. Your generosity goes a long way to bring some holiday cheer to local families.

“When you have children that don’t get Christmas and the income and the families are really low, and it’s hard for them, and they have to make a decision between paying a bill or getting Christmas. It’s always help that we always try to help those who need help. And so when they started the Angel tree, it was for that purpose to help children.” said Major Russel Clay with the Salvation Army.
