Firefighters knock down overnight Quail Ridge Apartment fire

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) — Authorities are investigating after an apartment fire in NW Oklahoma City Saturday morning.

According to Oklahoma City Fire Department, firefighters responded to multiple calls on an apartment fire at the Quail Ridge Apartments near W Memorial Road and Featherstone Road around 1:40 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, crews saw smoke coming from the first and second floor of one of the buildings and were able to put the fire out quickly.

“It’s one building, one building consists of 16 units and the fire was contained to just one,” said Chris Haley, Acting Chief for Oklahoma City Fire Department. “We have one other unit that had a little bit of water runoff damage, and we do have Red Cross in route to assist with both of those people.”

Officials say the resident of the apartment was not home at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported.
