OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) — Problems with wiring inside a metro grandmother’s apartment left her and her family without heat for three days. She called News 4, and within a couple of hours, it was fixed.
“To be cold and to have no heat to keep us warm. We can’t cook, we can’t shower. These are things that are needed daily,” said Thurrayah Davis.
Davis is disabled and a diabetic who lives at the North Village apartment complex near Hefner and Western. She said since Sunday she and her family have been wrapped in blankets and unable to use their stove because of a wiring issue.
She said that OG&E came over and showed her that the property management needed to fix a problem with the wiring inside the home. Her wiring wasn’t allowing full power to the appliances inside.
This meant they hadn’t had hot water for a shower, the stove wouldn’t heat up all the way, and most outlets didn’t allow full power for space heaters. Her TV didn’t work and she couldn’t charge her wheelchair.
