OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) — Oklahoma state legislator Jason Lowe tells News 4 he’s excited to get to work following his decisive win in Oklahoma County District 1 for the commissioner seat.
Lowe, an elected Democrat while in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, grabbed more than 85% of the special election vote Tuesday, beating out challenger Jed Green by thousands of votes. He’s been elected to fill the remainder of former District 1 Commissioner Carrie Blumert’s term, who resigned last year.
“I am very happy with the trust the voters have placed on me,” said Lowe in an interview with News 4 on Wednesday. “You know, it’s going to be a tough job, but I’m ready to get to work on day one. I’ve talked to individuals at the county on what my plans are and I, we’re, ready to get to work. We have a lot of work to do.”…
