The Oklahoma City Zoo is kicking off their annual Animal Awareness Days on Saturday, May 3 with a special event to highlight birds and the bird conservation movement. This is just one of several awareness events meant to highlight specific species that the zoo cares for and how Oklahomans can help play a part in their programs.
Up until October 2025, the Oklahoma City Zoo will be hosting special events featuring giraffes, cats, elephants and more. Each awareness day will usually come with presentations and maybe even some goodies there at the zoo.
