OK Governor receives bill set to modify eviction timeline

OKLAHOMA CITY — Senate Bill 128, a bill set to add five days to the eviction timeline, passed both legislative chambers and has been sent to the governor’s desk.

Proposed by State Senator Julia Kirt (D-Oklahoma City), Senate Bill 128 would require five days to be added between the delivery date of the court summons and the date set for the eviction hearing.

It also requires that court summons to be given to the individual at least seven days before their trial date…
