Oklahoma City is set to enhance its support network for survivors of violence with the construction of the new MAPS 4 Family Justice Center, operated by Palomar, a cornerstone organization in trauma support. Community leaders and stakeholders gathered to mark the commencement of this significant project, reaffirming the city’s commitment to providing a haven for those impacted by domestic abuse and other distressing experiences.
This $42-million project, generously backed by MAPS 4 funds, will significantly to upscale Palomar’s capacity to deliver essential services to individuals in dire need. As reported by OKC’s official news release, the new facility will stretch out over 72,884 square feet along Hudson Ave., between NW 11th St. and NW 12th St. A variety of services, including victim assistance, therapy, and more robust educational services, will be housed in this center, slated for opening in 2027.
