Canadian County Sheriff pulled over for speeding, issued warning

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The Canadian County Sheriff was recently caught on camera after being pulled over where he asked for a professional courtesy. He has since said he should’ve responded differently.

In a video from Oklahoma City Police, a motorcycle officer can be seen pulling over the Canadian County Sheriff Chris West near SW 15th St. and Mustang Rd. The posted speed limit in that area is 45 mph, West was stopped driving 58 mph.

In the video, West is heard speaking with the officer regarding the stop and how he’d rather “not be documented” and that it’s a “professional courtesy”.
