Man faces manslaughter charge after crash kills bystander in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — A man is facing charges for manslaughter and reckless driving following a deadly crash with a bystander Friday night.

Oklahoma City Police report Carlos Silva was driving a pickup truck on S. Shields Boulevard, and appeared to be racing a second vehicle, based on video evidence around 10:30 p.m.

A third vehicle, a Chevy Equinox, was backing out of a residential driveway on S Shields Boulevard near Southeast 44th Street when Silva’s truck hit its rear end. The Equinox rolled and left the roadway…
