Arkansas man sentenced to 10 years in prison for Oklahoma bank robbery

HARRAH, Okla. (KFOR) – An Arkansas man has been sentenced to a decade in prison for a 2024 armed bank robbery in Oklahoma, officials say.

According to the Western District of Oklahoma, evidence showed that on July 5, 2024, Brian Mays brandished a firearm at the FNB Community Bank in Harrah, Oklahoma, and demanded money. The tellers at the bank complied and gave Mays $12,123.

FBI agents later reviewed surveillance footage from the bank, as well as an adjoining store where they saw Mays leave the scene. An eyewitness was able to provide a tag number for the getaway vehicle which led investigators to Mays.

Officials say on January 21, 2025, a two-count Superseding Indictment was returned charging Mays with armed bank robbery and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. He was found guilty on both counts on March 13, 2025…
