OHP shifts focus from OKC and Tulsa metro interstates to other high-traffic areas

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) is shifting its resources to no longer patrol interstates and highways in Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas, instead focusing on areas of the state with a greater need for patrols.

OHP will redirect its resources from the two metro areas to interstates and highways with significant traffic volumes but limited law enforcement coverage.
