Epic Charter Schools to use $30M private loan for July payroll amid financial struggles

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — In a board meeting Monday, the Statewide Charter School Board voted unanimously to hire a team of auditors to look into Epic Charter School’s finances.

The SCSB’s Financial Compliance Officer, Skyler Lusnia said leadership from Epic came to the board with concerns back in May.

“Essentially, these concerns bring questions about the long-term financial stability of the school,” Lusnia said.
