Suspect faces charges after man reportedly pistol-whipped in July 4 fireworks dispute

MIDWEST CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — One man was reportedly pistol-whipped after a confrontation about fireworks on July 4.

According to the affidavit, Midwest City Police responded to an assault near Northeast 10th Street and N Air Depot Boulevard, where the caller believed he’d been shot in the head.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim, who had a large laceration over his left eye and blood on his face. The victim told police he lives nearby and walked down the street to ask a large gathering of people in a front yard to stop setting off fireworks…
