OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – One of Oklahoma’s oldest camps, Camp DaKani, will soon be revitalized thanks to a new partnership.
It’s only been a year since they were forced to close up shop, but its 30 acres will soon be alive and well once again with the Greater Oklahoma City YMCA stepping in to be the sole operator.

“When we had to make the difficult decision to close down, there was an outcry in the community of heartbrokenness, of sadness and so for us to be able to find a partner that wants to continue this legacy is just, it’s overwhelming,” Camp CEO April Jolley said.
“We’re not just preserving another beautiful outdoor space,” Chairman of the Board for the Greater Oklahoma City YMCA Bil Snipes said. “We’re investing in the next generation.”…
