A Midwest City man has been handed a hefty prison sentence for a series of violent actions that involved illegal possession of a firearm, according to formal statements from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Mark Ryan Jordan, 38, previously convicted of felonious offenses, will now serve 120 months in federal prison, U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester announced.
On October 28, 2024, an episode of road rage catalyzed the eventual arrest of Jordan, who was reported to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for aggressive behavior that included following, yelling, and tailgating a woman and her juvenile daughter. In a turn of frightening escalation, he brandished a firearm at their vehicle at a gas station. Later the same day, Jordan’s behavior intensified as he supposedly stole a shotgun, and threatened a shootout with law enforcement, detailing knowledge shared by the LCSO.
Further incidents included Jordan firing a shot into a bedroom window of a Midwest City residence and attempting to locate the homeowner at a relative’s house, where Midwest City Police Department officers apprehended him.
