A woman drowned last week at Lake Eufaula after jumping into the water to swim and failing to resurface, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the incident happened Friday afternoon. The victim, identified as 59-year-old Michele Watson of Oklahoma City, was operating a boat when she stopped and entered the lake to swim. Authorities confirmed she was not wearing a life jacket at the time.
