OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — An Oklahoma County Commissioner is setting the record straight after being at the center of a short-lived controversy Tuesday involving the Juneteenth holiday’s observance in the county.
An agenda for a July 30 Oklahoma County Board of Commissioners meeting references discussion and possible action regarding the 2026 Calendar Holiday. The list includes most federal holidays, excluding Juneteenth, and even Good Friday; which is not a federally recognized holiday.
