OU Health launches hybrid nursing model

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — OU Health is looking to ease the burden on its nurses while still providing quality care to patients.

They are one month into a new hybrid nursing model, which combines virtual and in-person nursing teams.

“Our goal was to find a way to allow our nursing team to spend more time at the bedside with the patients and the viewers’ loved ones,” Dr. David Allen, Division Chief Nursing Officer for Adult Services at OU Health, said.
