New microchip reader at Boomer Veterinary Hospital helps reunite pets with owners

NORMAN- (KOKH) — Boomer Veterinary Hospital in Norman now has a microchip reader just outside their building that easily allows people to scan lost cats or dogs for a microchip.

Karla Denton, who is a veterinarian at the animal hospital, said this will really help when lost animals are found after hours.

“You know, when someone finds a lost pet, it’s usually after five and inevitably on the weekend when everyone’s closed, and so then it’s a huge inconvenience for the good Samaritan that found the pet,” she said…
