OKLAHOMA CITY — Science Museum Oklahoma’s biggest event of the year returns with a new name and more opportunities to explore than ever before. DiscoverFest, formerly known as Tinkerfest, will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2020 Remington Place in Oklahoma City. Registration is now open for this free community event that transforms the entire museum and grounds into a hub for hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
Guests can dive into more than 70 interactive activities, from dismantling a car to mixing live music, turning wood on a lathe, exploring puppetry, programming robots, and much more. With the support of more than 35 community partners representing businesses, schools, clubs, and organizations, families will experience firsthand the skills and creativity that power STEAM careers and hobbies.
“DiscoverFest is all about getting hands-on with science,” said Sherry Marshall, John E. Kirkpatrick President and CEO of Science Museum Oklahoma. “While it is a free day at the museum, the impact goes far beyond admission. Every activity offers the chance to learn something new, make a connection, or discover a future passion.”…
