Fentanyl dealer sentenced for role in overdose death of OKC man

OKLAHOMA CITY — A fentanyl dealer has been sentenced to 12 years in prison and eight years on probation for his role in the overdose death of an Oklahoma City man in 2021.

Attorney General Gentner Drummond said 38-year-old Charles Everett Sewell pled guilty to the second-degree murder of Jack Thach.

Prosecutors showed evidence that Sewell acted as a sophisticated drug dealer who continuously sold dangerous fentanyl pills to Thach, despite knowing of the victim’s previous struggles with addiction…
