4 teenagers in critical condition after Murray County crash

MURRAY COUNTY, OKLA. — Four teenagers were brought to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition after a crash Sunday morning at East Main Street and Airport Road in Murray County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said that at 3:14 a.m., Murray County deputies tried to stop a 2022 Purple Dodge Charger going at 102 mph, driven by Caleb Ryan Cooper, 19. Instead of stopping, Cooper fled into Davis and drove east on State Highway 7. A Davis police officer attempted to intercept Cooper’s car but couldn’t keep visual contact on him.

After Cooper drove out of sight, his Charger lost control and went off the road around 3:27 a.m. It then struck a curb, went airborne, hit a large drainage ditch, overturned, and caught on fire. One of the four teens was ejected from the car while the other 3 teens were stuck in the car until an extrication was performed…
