The 31st annual Down Syndrome Festival and 5K will bring thousands of people to downtown Oklahoma City this Saturday for a day of family activities, advocacy and celebration.
Organizers say the event, held at Myriad Botanical Gardens, is both a fundraiser and community reunion for families, friends and supporters of individuals with Down syndrome.
What to expect
The festival will start with a 5K and one-mile fun run at 8 a.m., followed by a talent show featuring self-advocates, an awareness walk at 9:45 a.m., and family-friendly activities throughout the morning.
Attendees can enjoy inflatables, carnival games, raffle prizes and food trucks…
