A paraplegic man in a wheelchair from Oklahoma City claimed his home was broken into twice by burglars, even sharing a firsthand account of the intruders. Reportedly, his mobility gear, including both of his wheelchairs, and other medical supplies were stolen. Since the news came out, members of the community got involved. Authorities have also shared information about a suspect connected to the case.
The Man’s Oklahoma City Apartment Was Subject To Two Different Break-Ins
Alan Prudhome is a man from Oklahoma City whose home was recently subject to a break-in. In addition to valuables, the thieves allegedly stole both of his wheelchairs and other medical supplies.
Effectively, the burglars also stole Alan’s mobility in addition to his possessions. The home was reportedly subject to two separate break-ins.
According to People, Alan’s Oklahoma City apartment was broken into on September 15 and 23, 2025. The burglars also reportedly stole an estimated $1,200 loss. In addition to the wheelchairs, the burglars took around $500 in cash, three phones each worth around $100, and around $300 in food.
Speaking with KFOR, Prudhome himself also shared, “They ended up taking my manual wheelchair, the hand controls that I use when I drive, medicine. If I have to go somewhere and be in a car, I have no wheelchair to do that.”…
