OKC’s First Americans Museum celebrates Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Oklahomans are invited to celebrate the resiliency and vibrancy of global Indigenous people at the First Americans Museum on Monday.

Cultural performances, art displays, Indigenous food, panel discussions, contests and more will all be on display at the museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“You can look forward to us celebrating so many different cultures,” FAM Public Programs Coordinator Marci Hensley says. “Of course, the 39 nations, but also others, because that includes a lot of different Indigenous peoples, from teepee raising, from Riverside Indian School, to different storytelling, to music, to our vendor market.”…
