OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Beginning November 1, Oklahoma law will expand when a driving under the influence (DUI) situation can be charged as a felony.
A DUI can be elevated to a felony-level when if it involves:
- A crash
- Driving with a minor in the vehicle
- Excessive speeding or reckless driving
- Eluding law enforcement
- Having a high blood alcohol concentration (0.15% or higher)
