DEL CITY, OKLA. — The Del City Chamber of Commerce is taking action to support military personnel and civilians at Tinker Air Force Base, which may face food insecurity due to the potential loss of SNAP benefits amid the government shutdown.
The chamber has established a food pantry and donated $250 in food to assist those in need.
Josh Shultz of the Del City Chamber of Commerce emphasized the community’s reliance on Tinker personnel, stating, “A lot of our small businesses rely on Tinker personnel and civilian workers to come and patron their businesses, and so, we just wanna give back.”…
