The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) has announced multiple construction projects across Oklahoma City and surrounding areas that will cause lane closures and traffic delays through 2025 and beyond.
As per the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT), on I-35 in Norman, the northbound left lane at Indian Hills Road will be closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through October for surface testing. Tecumseh Road will also be reduced to one lane between Flood Avenue and N.E. 12th Street through Friday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for an ongoing project.
US-77 in Norman will have intermittent lane closures in both directions between Classen Boulevard and Main Street through early November. On I-40, lanes will be narrowed between Meridian Avenue and May Avenue over I-44 during nighttime hours until fall 2025. In Midwest City, I-40 at Douglas Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes in each direction with no shoulders or merge distances.
