Midwest City Police release identity of suspect killed in pursuit that ended in a crash

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (KFOR) — Police have released the identity of a suspect who died in a crash after an officer performed a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver during a chase on Monday night in Midwest City.

According to authorities, shortly after 8:10 p.m. on Monday, Oklahoma County Dispatch notified surrounding agencies about an assault and a stolen vehicle that took place at a Dollar General in Harrah. The victim was reportedly assaulted with a pipe before their vehicle, a silver Nissan sedan, was taken by force.

A Midwest City police officer spotted the vehicle just before 8:30 p.m. as it was traveling south on Sooner Road. The officer made an attempt to pull the suspect over, but he refused, resulting in a pursuit.

Police pursued the suspect through residential streets before making it to Southeast 15th Street, when a Midwest City police officer performed a TVI maneuver to stop the suspect, causing the vehicle to crash into an innocent motorist who was stopped in the westbound lanes of Southeast 15th Street, officials said…
