Yukon, OKC to swap land

Yukon and Oklahoma City are swapping parcels of land.

The Yukon City Council, at its Nov. 4th regular meeting, voted 4-0 to approve an agreement between the City of Yukon and Yukon Municipal Authority (YMA) and the City of Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma City Economic Development Trust.

A land exchange highlights the new agreement:

  • Oklahoma City is required to de-annex two, 10-acre parcels of land at 2200 S Yukon Parkway and 1900 S Yukon Parkway to Yukon for future commercial development across from Yukon High School.
  • Yukon is required to de-annex 148.71 acres at 2701 N Gregory Road to Oklahoma City to become part of a proposed $17 million industrial mega-site near C.E. Page Airport.
  • All revenue-sharing requirements will be removed for property on Frisco Road that Yukon annexed 10 years ago from Oklahoma City.
  • Yukon, YMA or a private developer and its successors and/or assigns may develop the 184.5-acre Frisco Road property in any manner it desires – except for retail “power” centers.

There is a March 31, 2026 deadline for Oklahoma City and Yukon to both approve their respective annexation/de-annexation ordinances…
