The Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) Native American Student Services (NASS) team is hosting its annual Powwow on Saturday at U.S. Grant High School.
The Powwow festivities begin at 1 p.m. with a Gourd Dance, followed by the Grand Entry at 6 p.m. Families are encouraged to come and go throughout the day to enjoy traditional songs, dances, and community fellowship. The new Miss Native American OKCPS will also be crowned at 5:45 p.m. The event ends at 10 p.m.
In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, the event will also feature a vendor market, offering authentic Native-made arts, crafts, jewelry, and more…
