Oklahoma City Police Arrest Suspect in Fatal Shooting of 20-Year-Old Christopher Sosa

In an unfolding situation in southwest Oklahoma City, a man was found dead due to gunshot wounds in a home situated in the 2400 block of SW 23. The Oklahoma City Police Department quickly descended upon the scene after receiving a call at around 8:20 a.m. on Saturday. KOCO reported that Master Sgt. Rob Robertson said, “Preliminary information we gathered was the suspect had fled, it appears the suspect and the victim know each other in some capacity, what that is we don’t know yet.”

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Christopher Sosa, who suffered from a fatal gunshot wound. In response to the incident, a heavy police presence canvassed the area in search of evidence and a suspect, who was initially at large. A breakthrough came when police arrested 23-year-old Ruben Orrantia-Silva the following morning, as detailed by OKCFOX. Orrantia-Silva faces an array of charges, including first-degree murder and kidnapping, indicating a complex and violent altercation leading to Sosa’s death.

Despite the arrest, the investigation remains active as officers and detectives continue to sift through the realities of what transpired that morning. A nearby business contributed to the case by providing security camera footage capturing an individual running from the scene. Master Sgt.
