Fatal SE OKC robbery leads to arrest of 18-year-old

OKLAHOMA CITY – A robbery on Saturday in southeast Oklahoma City turned deadly. Police said the victim was shot in a car and died atOU Medical Center. Police arrested 18-year-old Christopher Upchurch about four hours after the deadly shooting.

Police were called around 5:30 p.m. to the area of Southeast 57th Street and Bryant Avenue for a shooting. Officers found 21-year-old Ralead Rex-Dean shot in a car, who later died at the hospital.

A neighbor who lives near the scene said she heard a woman screaming for help shortly before first responders and police arrived. Court documents said a witness told investigators Rex-Dean was meeting Upchurch to sell him a gun…
