OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The family of 19-year-old Jordan Woods, who was hit by multiple cars in northwest Oklahoma City on Friday, received good news Monday after being told that he took his first breath on his own since the incident.
Woods, who has high-functioning autism, has been on a breathing machine since the incident and suffered severe injuries, including broken ribs, a shattered pelvis, a broken leg, and a brain injury.
“My brother, he’s strong. He’s very strong,” said Brooklyn Woods, Jordan’s younger sister. “Even with him being sedated and everything, we know he can hear us telling him, you know, you’ve got this, keep fighting.”
