State lawmakers react to new school report card data

OKLAHOMA CITY – Newly released annual school report data shows the slightest of improvement in focused areas, according to data from the Oklahoma State Department of Education.

Only three fewer schools received a failing grade than the previous year. Across the state, there was a decline in overall grades with more Ds.

But, state lawmakers are expecting next year’s report card will be different following recent legislative changes, such as a cellphone ban in classrooms…
