Skeletal remains found more than 35 years ago have been identified as belonging to a woman who went missing in 1989.
In January 1990, a human skull was found “near a creek bank between Geary and El Reno, two small rural communities along the 1-40 interstate corridor just west of Oklahoma City,” according to a news release from Othram, a forensic laboratory specializing in human identification from degraded or limited samples.
A search of the area by the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) led to the recovery of additional skeletal remains and investigators initially determined that they “belonged to a White woman, estimated to be between 18 and 35 years old” who had likely been deceased “for months or years.”…
