Oklahoma Sheriff’s Association partakes in raising traveling flag ahead of America’s 250th birthday

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — America turns 250 years old next July. In honor of the big birthday, the Oklahoma Sheriff’s Association participated in a nationwide tribute to the country’s flag. They raised ‘ole glory in Northeast Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

The flag they raised and honored has traveled overseas and to multiple states before getting to Oklahoma.

“The flag has traveled to Europe. It’s been at battle cemeteries, places that individuals that have been draped by this very symbol have been buried and put to rest,” Canadian County Sheriff and President of the National Sheriff’s Association Chris West said…
