OKC Council considers national historic recognition for downtown district

OKLAHOMA CITY – A part of downtown Oklahoma City could find itself nationally recognized for its historical impact, with the city leaders set to discuss nominating the area to the National Register of Historic Places on Tuesday.

The Oklahoma City Council will consider nominating downtown’s historic district for the recognition, an area that includes Devon Tower, the First National Center and the building that houses News 9 at 100 West Main Street.
