Norman Public Schools announced U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has not made any arrests of teachers or parents at Wilson Elementary on Wednesday afternoon amid social media rumors.
In a statement sent to the Daily, Jaron Spor, NPS communications coordinator wrote the district was aware of the information circulating but it was incorrect.
“NPS is aware of information circulating indicating an alleged incident at Wilson Elementary School involving immigration agents. We can confirm that no NPS staff member has been detained/arrested and no law enforcement agents entered school property,” Spor wrote…
