OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – The popular rental platform, Airbnb, is cracking down on New Year’s parties with ‘anti-party technology.’
Airbnb told News 4 they used the technology to stop 85 renters from booking properties on New Year’s Eve last year.
“If you get on the app and you are looking to book a very large home for one or two guests and, let’s say you live in in Oklahoma City or the area around it, and you want to book a big home in Oklahoma City for one night around New Year’s Eve, the booking will not be allowed,” said a Public Policy Lead for Airbnb, Vincent Frillici.
