OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – An abnormally warm winter makes for enjoyable weather, but the heat is causing some activities to close.
“Mother Nature gave us this great gift of warm weather, but it wasn’t so great on the conditions of the ice rink,” said Michelle Furrer, the CEO of the Myriad Gardens and Scissortail Park Foundations.
Nolan Meister, a Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Norman, says the temperatures we’ve been feeling aren’t normal for Oklahoma.
“So, it’s been warm for months now, and the strength of that kind of heat dome right now is what we would normally expect to see in July, not in December,” Meister said…
