Homeowners escape NW OKC house fire

OKLAHOMA CITY – Homeowners in northwest Oklahoma City escaped an overnight house fire after flames spread from a fireplace into the attic, according to firefighters.

Fire officials said neighbors noticed the fire and alerted the residents, allowing everyone inside the home to get out safely. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters were able to contain the flames to the attic, preventing the fire from spreading further through the house. Damage to the home is estimated at about $75,000, authorities said…
