Oklahoma crews stage trucks as anticipated winter storm arrives
OKLAHOMA CITY – State and metro road crews across Oklahoma have been preparing highways and interstates ahead of an approaching winter storm, pre-treating roadways and staging equipment as colder temperatures and winter precipitation move in.
Crews with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and city agencies have been pre-treating roads for several days, focusing first on major routes.
ODOT crews were active Friday morning along southbound Interstate 35, a major corridor through the Oklahoma City metro and into Norman. Drivers may notice lines on the pavement from brine applications made earlier this week as part of those preparations…
