EMSA OKC crews respond to eight cold exposure emergencies on Saturday

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA (KOKH) — EMSA paramedics responded to an increased number of cold exposure emergencies on Saturday amid the dangerously low temperatures.

As of 8:30 p.m. Saturday, EMSA’s Oklahoma City crews had responded to eight cold exposure emergencies. Five patients were taken to the hospital.

Since the winter weather moved in Friday afternoon, EMSA crews have responded to two carbon monoxide incidents and eleven cold exposure calls. A total of seven patients have been taken to the hospital for treatment…
