Oklahoma City’s January 2026 Sales Tax Revenue Falls Short of Projections

Oklahoma City’s January sales and use tax collections fell below projections and were lower than January 2025. General Fund sales tax totaled approximately $28.2 million, about $1.3 million (4.5%) below expectations and $918,000 (3.2%) lower than last year. Fiscal year-to-date, however, sales tax revenue is 0.3% above projections, adding $547,000 to the General Fund, according to the City of Oklahoma report.
