Polar Plunge raises awareness for the Special Olympics

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — It is called the Polar Plunge and sounds like a sport you might see during the winter games in Italy, but it took place here in Oklahoma City.

In fact,  Six Flags Hurricane Harbor hosted this Polar Plunge fundraising event, where brave participants leap into a chilly pool and raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics.

News 4 will have a special Proud To Serve about the Polar Plunge coming up later this month.

The Plunge events happen in 15 different cities in Oklahoma from late January through the end of February…
