OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahomans who are struggling with hearing loss statewide will have a unique opportunity to qualify for free hearing aids and follow-up professional care through Hough Ear Institute’s hearing assistance program.
According to Hough Ear Institute, HoughAid provides clinical-grade hearing aids, fittings, and follow-on audiology care at no cost to qualifying low-income adults.
The HoughAid program seeks to serve residents statewide and key regions expanding support in Pottawatomie and southern Oklahoma, “Hearing aids can cost $7,000 to $10,000, which puts essential care out of reach for many Oklahomans,” said Dr. Matthew West, CEO of Hough Ear Institute. “Through HoughAid, and thanks to the generosity of our philanthropic partners, we’re able to remove that barrier and help people reconnect to their families, their communities, and their lives.”
