Civil Rights Pioneer Calvin Luper marks 80th birthday at mother’s monument in Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY – Civil rights pioneer Calvin Luper celebrated his 80th birthday with an emotional visit to a monument honoring his mother, Clara Luper, a key figure in the 1958 Oklahoma City sit-in protests.
